Comet Construction Software, a leading supplier of job cost and
accounting software solutions for the construction industry, today
announces v6.3.0 of its Comet2007 software.
The new release brings many new features
being requested by our client base and potential clients. Some of
the new features include the following:

The ability to
create job variance POs (VPOs). This feature allows you to track
job cost variances without having to modify or void the original
purchase orders created for the job.

The ability to
import data from Excel or TXT files and automatically create
purchase orders for a job. If you're maintaining a detailed
material estimate in Excel or some other application that can export
TXT files, you can now import the data and automatically create the
job POs without any manual work involved.

Added a new utility
that allows the user to purge old purchase order history that's not
needed any more.

The ability to track
and report withholdings for General Liability Insurance and
Retainage.

Added various new
reports for Job Cost, including a Closing Schedule, Inventory Status
Report, Closing Statistics by Floor Plan and Sales Trends Report.

Various other
enhancements were made at the request of existing clients to
continue to make the software more user-friendly.
