Business Partnership with Construction Management Software

Buford, Georgia - August 15, 2006 - Comet Construction Software, a leading supplier of job cost and accounting software solutions for the construction industry, today announces a new partnership with Construction Management Software (CMA), developer of ProEst Estimating and ProEst Takeoff software.

Comet and CMA have worked together to build an interface and provide our mutual clients with the ability to export summary estimates from ProEst and import them into the Comet2005 software for use within the Job Cost module. 

ProEst Estimating is a full-featured material estimating product that provides the user with a powerful and reliable estimating solution that increases both productivity and accuracy.  It's logical layout and design make it easy-to-use, allowing estimators to quickly become proficient at creating winning, profitable bids.

Comet2005 is a full-featured, job cost and financial management solution that helps any construction business needing a robust and detailed job cost tracking solution.  The import utility in the Comet software is a standard feature and can be used import any properly formatted CSV (comma separated values) file.  Once estimates are imported, they can be used within the software for job tracking and reporting purposes.  The Comet software provides the user with the ability to track the progress of job costs and can help any construction business monitor their costs as the job moves forward.  Entry and reporting features automatically pinpoint red flags so you know immediately when issues arise that need to be addressed.

Under the new partnership agreement, Comet becomes an authorized reseller of the ProEst Estimating and ProEst Takeoff software product lines, expanding its current product offering to include a complete array of estimating software for many different facets of the construction industry.  Databases for the ProEst software include options for general construction, electrical construction, mechanical construction and RS Means databases. 

All Comet clients that are current on their software maintenance contracts at the time of the software release will get the latest enhancements at no additional charge.
